As My Piglets Grow

As Percy and Petunia grow and travel the world, I guess it only fair that a romance or two will develop.

On Petunia's first over seas trip she met Rodney in the USA.

Thank goodness no little accidents occurred and all is sweet.

Rodney has come over on a visa for a while and if all goes well, they may get married.

So here is a closeup photo of Rodney in my sewing room.

He's very charming and a little bit bigger in size to both Percy and Petunia. Maybe its to do with him being a razorback breed???

He knows to behave himself and act like a gentleman as well or his visa will be revoked and he's on the next plane out of here. mrgreen

Also he's blind to the fact Petunia's ears a "bit different"....so that goes a long way in my books.

Rodney has only 1 fault sad his catch cry....sigh

Marinated pork spare ribs are yummo!!

Petunia In The USA part 2

Next day after a long bus ride we arrived at London Bridge.

I was confused because I thought I was in America. Jude explained the bridge used to be in London but was shifted to America by a very rich man.

Back on the bus and we drove through California to Arizona. It took a long time but the ladies on the bus shared their drinks and lollies with me and made me laugh lots.

We stayed in this great motel close to the Grand Canyon and I really liked the sculptures in the garden.

One was a bald eagle (I'm in his right claw).

The other was a mountain lion. Aren't you so glad they weren't real or they might have eaten me.

Wow here I am at the Grand Canyon, it is really big. About 446 km long and up to 29 km wide. It was very windy and I nearly got blown into the canyon, but Jude saved me.

It had snowed the night before so I played in the snow. It was very cold and wet, I didn't like it much.

I also met one of the local animals a Kaibab squirrel.

More photos tomorrow biggrin

I Almost Went to Amy's Wedding

Yesterday I was allowed to go to the Jacob's Creek Retreat when Mum & Dad's daughter Amy was preparing for her wedding.

Mum made me a bow tie and put a rose in my tail for me........ I'm too sexy for my tie....too sexy!!!

Boy was I lucky..... I wasn't grabbed and had my tail straightened and all that gunk the girls were putting on their faces on me.

Mum said I couldn't go to the wedding and reception, as I have a bit of a liking for wines due to a few trips away.

But I did get to cuddle the bride before she left for the church.

How lucky am I??? I got first cuddle with the beautiful bride. Also I get to go with Amy & Ben on their honeymoon next week...to Fiji on a ship.

As I wasn't going to get a chance to win a garter................. I was allowed to have my own chance at the retreat.

Look who won!!!!!! Mum made this one for Amy to keep and made a different one for Amy and Ben to have fun with at the reception. This one has a bigger flower on it and is a bit more blue looking.

So now I am waiting to head off with them on their honeymoon.

Better take an Ipod, so I can get some sleep at night in their room. wink

Not sure if I'll post emails while away or post them when I get back......

Hope I can do a "Pig of the world" like in the Titanic movie.

Tea Rooms Pt 2

Dear Mum,

At the tea rooms is an old train tunnel that goes under the mountain. Here are some pics of me looking at it from a distance.

Here I am at the other side if the tunnel.

Behind me is the old train line that goes into the tunnel.

Wonder if I should take a closer look at the tunnel?

We went inside the tunnel and there was a snake and there were lots of bats. Lots of darkness and there were lots more bats and more bats still!!!!

One of the bats brushes up against me! Oink!

Yay made it to the other side.

Uncle PNG Steve says they eat bats in PNG!

Eat more bats.

Love
Percy.

Dear Percy,

I loved the bat and snake photos. I haven't seen a lot of bats in my life time, closest was back in 1980. Love snakes and I have a photo of me holding a big python.

Love all the greenery in the photos and glad you didn't get run over by a ghost train.

Love
Mum.

Fly Me To The Moon....

Hi Mum,

Well we woke up bright and early the next morning and headed off to spend some time at the Australian War Memorial.

I got to sit on the statue of Simpson & his Donkey and I got to see heaps of planes and models and stuff from the wars.

But I also visited the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the Memorial where all the names of those who died during the Wars of the last Century. It was sad but amazing place!

After, we marked our respects by drowning a pint at an Irish Paddy Pub, this beer is Kilkenny and really nice!

Did I say Canberrans like to party?

Holiday Dad has some great contacts, I went to the moon!!

We went to this place in the country and we used this big Foxtel dish to talk to Neil Armstrong. He went to the moon many years ago.

I got to fly in a spaceship and I saw the

Moon,

Saturn, Jupiter and Uranus.

People kept saying "I can see Uranus" and I kept saying, "Well my Mum hasn't made me any pants yet."

But I went to Mars and rode on this buggy and then

returned to Earth in the big cone thing called a return capsule.

What a blast!!!!

Whooo-oooh

Percy.

Oh yeah!!!!

Na-Nu Na-Nu Eat more chicken.

Dear Percy,

You have had an amazing day and I too have been to the Australian War Memorial. I came away humbled and grateful to live in a free democracy and thanked them with my heart for their sacrifices.

I didn't get to go to the space station though. It looked like it was a fun visit.

Don't worry about not having pants, they are just jealous of your cute little toosh.

Love
Mum.

I'm Off Again

Well I'm off again this morning, on another adventure. This time I'm off to Queensland and also Canberra. How exciting is this trip going to be?

I am going in style and with all the comforts of home, check it out will ya!!!!

Thanks to Auntie Clare I now have my own traveling bag. Doesn't my bag look fabulous? My travel bag label looks just so right too. It has my name & address on it, so if I get lost, someone can post me home.

Now I'm a big brother I have had a talk to my little sister Petunia. I'm leaving her in charge of the sewing room while I am away. Also I have given her some traveling tips and words from the wise about that "demon drink" as she may be on her way to the USA for that quilting tour, before I get home.

Checking out the new 1st class travel arrangements. So comfy and look, it's even got my name on it.

Snug as a bug in a rug, rather than feeling like a rasher of bacon with the plastic against my body.

Well time to head off, keep your eye open for postcards from me.

Don't forget.......

Eat more chicken.

My Name Is Petunia

Hello everyone, my name is Petunia and I'm very happy to meet you all.

Today I was allowed to go on my first visit to a place outside the sewing room. I was very lucky to be able to go with Percy and our mum to her sewing group.

It was so exciting to be able to meet the people mum talks to my dad about. They are a really nice group of ladies.

I'm a real cuddly piglet and as I'm going to the USA in April with Auntie Judy, I wanted to get to know her better. Its a long way from home if we don't get a long with each other. Judy is just as cuddly as what I am.

As we were there all morning I was allowed to play in Auntie Khris' fabric. This fabric is from America, so I thought as I'm going there, I should get up close and personal with it.

Here are my sewing Auntie's with me and Percy. Auntie Dawn and Auntie Jeanette were making piggy ears. lol They made everyone laugh and mum had to take a heap of photos to get a nice one of everyone. Auntie Heather is holding Percy and that's Auntie Kris in front.

Thanks everyone who voted on my name, I think its a pretty name.

It was a fun day and I am so glad Dawn's house was the first place I visited.

I've Got Mail

Oh look what Auntie Clare sent me. mrgreen

I was so excited when mum showed me the 1/4 metre of fabric and the luggage tag for when I travel.

I'm going to get mum to make me a travel bag so I don't feel the plastic bag rub on my body, when I am traveling. Maybe then I won't feel so much like a slab of bacon either. lol

Also Auntie Clare has invited me to her place too. Thanks Auntie Clare your the best.

Hugs to you Auntie Clare.

Eat more chicken.

P.S. Don't forget tomorrow my baby sister is going to be seen for the first time, at mum's sewing morning.

I Have A Baby Sister.

Hello readers,

Today has been such an amazing day for me. First off I got to see my mum after being away on holidays for a month or so.

After hugs and cuddles mum, Auntie Deb and myself caught a couple of buses to Hettie's Patch. It was time to pick up my new baby sister.

Here is mum & me outside Hettie's Patch ready to go inside and see my baby sister. We were so excited. Auntie Debbie is the photographer and so she isn't in any of the photos.

This is the first family photo with my baby sister.

These photos were taken in the nursery material section.

Close up of me and my sister. As she's a new born, mum said she will be cared for in the sewing room. When she's a bit bigger, my sister will have some more baby photos for you to see.

As I can't keep calling her "my baby sister" we need a name for her. Mum & Auntie Deb came up with 6 names for her and can't pick one out of them.

So mum thought a poll would be nice. So when you mean my baby sister next, she'll have a name.

Then we will both be able to travel the world sending mum postcards. I have so many invites to go places...... thought it was time to share the travels.

So pretty please vote for a name from the list on the right of my postings.

Eat more chicken.
